In which regions is Aletta® commercially available?

Aletta has CE mark and is available for clinical use in the European Union. Our current focus is on hospitals and labs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Can I visit Vitestro for a demo?

Yes, we offer tailored visits for hospitals and labs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. These visits include a demonstration of Aletta in our office in Utrecht.

Questions about Aletta®

Can Aletta® perform a venipuncture in both arms?

Yes, Aletta can puncture in the left or right arm.

Does Aletta® use a clean needle for each venipuncture?

Yes, Aletta picks up a clean, sterile needle-set for each new puncture.

What happens if Aletta® cannot find a suitable vein?

If Aletta does not identify a suitable vein, the procedure stops and the staff at the blood draw department will decide how to proceed.

Can patients that use blood thinners use Aletta®?

Yes, patients using blood thinners can use Aletta. After the draw, standard steps such as placing a bandage and applying pressure to the puncture site are followed, similar to a manual blood draw.

How does Aletta® prevent mispunctures?

Aletta uses multimodal imaging, combining near infrared and ultrasound to identify a suitable vein. If no suitable vein is found, Aletta will not proceed with a venipuncture.

Is Aletta® FDA approved?

No, Aletta is not FDA approved and not available for sale or use in the US. Aletta is CE-certified for clinical use in the European Union.

Is Aletta® painful?

85% of patients consider the pain less than or similar to a manual blood draw.

What type of patients can use Aletta®?

Aletta is designed for adult patients in outpatient phlebotomy settings. Suitability in specific cases is determined by the staff at the blood draw department.

Is Aletta® safe?

Aletta meets the safety and performance requirements for CE mark and is continously being evaluated in the A.D.O.P.T. clinical trial.
