Home Aletta® Hospital Leadership

Lead your hospital into the future of blood collection

Hospitals globally are increasing automation in their labotarory workflows. Aletta®, the world’s first Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™, is part of future laboratories by performing blood draws autonomously.

By introducing Aletta, your hospital shows a clear commitment to innovation and improving the patient experience.

Expand your operational capacity

Aletta® is designed to increase patient throughput and blood draw capacity at phlebotomy departments.

Challenges in manual phlebotomy

Hospitals face global staffing shortages

Hospitals face rising shortages of skilled phlebotomists. High staff turnover and increasing workload create bottlenecks and longer waiting times. Therefore, leadership teams need to find new ways to maintain quality and throughput.

Variability affects quality and experience

Differences in skill sets, workload, and patient complexity make consistent blood collection difficult to achieve. As a result, patient comfort and sample quality can be impacted.

The last major step without automation

Manual blood collection remains the final step not yet automated in laboratories. Manual blood collection and handling create multiple points where inconsistencies can occur, affecting both workflow and sample quality.

How does Aletta® work?

Aletta is designed to automate routine blood draws to reduce errors and ensure consistency.
Aletta aims to improve the patient experience by offering smoother blood draws and shorter wait times.
In our vision, one trained supervisor can oversee up to three Aletta devices, allowing phlebotomy departments to work manage staffing challenges.

Aletta performs blood draws autonomously on adult patients, using multimodal imaging and AI-guided robotics. It performs every step of the blood collection procedure, from selecting a suitable vein to placing a bandage. The device is developed to support phlebotomy departments in managing capacity, easing waiting times, and providing a more modern patient experience.

Aletta is designed to reduce the dependency on skilled phlebotomists. In our vision, one trained supervisor can oversee up to three devices. For example, a supervisor restocks consumables, assists patients when needed, and checks the device if required. This supervisor model is designed to handle higher patient volumes efficiently, while maintaining the same standard of care.

By adopting Aletta, hospitals position themselves at the forefront of innovation.

Vitestro's technology helps improve sample standardization and solve staffing shortages at our blood drawing department. Patients are also very positive.
