Board observer
As Investment Manager in the Life Sciences & Health team at Invest-NL, Koen van Breugel is representing Invest-NL on the Vitestro Board as Board Observer.
Invest-NL, a state-backed Dutch impact investment fund, supports innovative companies that contribute to the major societal transitions by commercializing pioneering technologies, green initiatives, and social enterprises.
In his role as Investment Manager, he actively invests in companies that contribute to affordable and accessible healthcare. As a Board Observer he serves on the Board of Microsure, ViCentra, Onera and Xeltis. Koen van Breugel holds a master’s degree in Regenerative Medicine & Technology which is a joined program between Utrecht University and the Eindhoven University of Technology.
Prior to joining Invest-NL, as a Wyss Institute Research Fellow at Harvard University, his focus was on the development of advanced vascularized kidney models.
