Vitestro is a pre-revenue medical robotics company. We have worked since end of 2017 on a breakthrough medical device, which combines state of the art robotics and AI. With this device we can grasp a global market opportunity, touching the lives of a billion patients in the next decade.
We are treading down a path where not many people have gone before, breaking through technology, clinical and market barriers, all at the same time. We are ambitious, and strongly believe that we have only just started. Technology lies at our core: our multidisciplinary team primarily consists of highly specialized hardware and software engineers. We also have our own medical team, driving clinical trials together with our clinical partners. Our team has grown to over 30 people in the last couple of years.
We now have a unique opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at this exciting stage.
As our CFO, you will join the management of Vitestro. You will have a key role in one of the most promising scale-ups in The Netherlands. We need a go getter who will be responsible for all financials including fundraising (dilutive and non-dilutive). You will be part of strategic decisions which are important for the success of the company.
As CFO you will be responsible for all daily activities related to the financials. You will keep track of all grants and (financial) reporting for government/EU and WBSO. Our financials are largely outsourced to our external accountant, you will be the first point of contact.
Additional responsibilities are insurances and office IT, the latter one is also outsourced to a third party.
Secondly, you will work closely together with the founders on the strategy of the company. This includes:
Thirdly, you will be the driving force of the subsequent investment rounds. You will prepare all investment documentation together with the founders and lead the whole process from start to end together with our financial advisors and lawyers.
Last but not least, you will manage external suppliers on costs & timelines and you will be closely involved in supplier negotiations including formalization in legal agreements.
You will have one direct report, which is our HR, finance and office manager. This team will grow over time.

We need a go-getter who enjoys solving one of the toughest challenges. This leadership position is demanding and requires your full focus. Regular overtime comes with the job. You will be compensated accordingly including stock option package. Note: this means that if you are looking for a 9 to 5 job, we do not see a match.
